Q:  How do I choose the right attorney to fight for me?

A:  Experience in the Probate and Family Court is critical and having well-rounded professional experience and skills make Attorney White have an edge.   Attorney White has focused her entire professional career helping people as an attorney, but also for years as a police officer, sex crimes investigator, prosecutor, and domestic/sexual violence advocate and consultant. 

 

Many attorneys want to quickly settle a case because they do not have the confidence or skills to take a case to trial.  Attorney White is skilled at both negotiation and litigation.

 

Q:  What should I expect from my initial consultation with Attorney White, and is there a consultation fee?

A:  Attorney White offers a brief telephone call to hear your concerns and guide you to what may be your first move.  Beyond that, a paid Initial Consultation is  time for you to explain your case in more detail.   We advise you to bring a list of questions you have and any documents related to your case, both current or past family court matters that you want to discuss. If you do not have your case file, CB WHITE LAW, PC may be able to access it through a court website.

 

An hourly fee for up to a  sixty (60) minute consultation is required. During this time you will receive legal advice related to the specific needs of your family related to your case.  

 

Every person with whom Attorney White  meets with is given the attention they deserve. You will be able to explain your situation to an experienced attorney and receive an honest evaluation of your family and potential outcomes.

 

 

Q:  Can I fight my case on my own without an attorney?  

 

A:  Although are not required to hire an attorney, the services of an experienced lawyer concentrating on divorce and family law is critical.  Attorney White will counsel you on your rights and options going through your case so that you can ultimately make the best decision for you and your family.

 

Q:  What if we are civil with each other and think this will be amicable?

 

A:  It is unethical for one attorney to represent both parties in a family law case.  Each party should be represented by an unbiased independent attorney.  If you think you can settle your case with little to no conflict, CB WHITE LAW, PC offers mediation as well.
